Commercial Real Estate Success Training (CREST) Partnership

The Equity, Inclusion and Diversity Committee is responsible for our on-going relationship with CREST (Commercial Real Estate Success Training). We are proud to announce that given this partnership that our CoreNet Global New England Chapter is now a CREST  “Champion” acknowledging our commitment and financial support of their program. This “Champion” designation provides our chapter with the opportunity to market our partnership and to educate program interns and CREST alumni about careers in corporate real estate as well as the value of CoreNet Global membership.

For those that do not know, CREST is a local, non-profit organization that provides meaningful summer internships along with personal and professional skills development to highly motivated and talented college students who have been historically underrepresented in our industry. CREST works with partner firms to recruit the right intern for real estate organizations and provides on-going support and skills development training throughout their internship. For our valued Corporate Partners, we would like to offer the opportunity to participate in the CREST program and hire a CREST CRE intern at your own organization during their 2022 10-week summer program.
Once again, our Chapter has agreed to subsidize 50% of the CREST program costs for as many as four of our Corporate Partners. The total program cost is $5,000 per student, so the cost to each selected Corporate Partner firm will be the $2,500 program fee, plus the salary for your selected intern.

If you are a Corporate Partner and interested in participating in the program and receiving $2,500 toward program costs as a Corporate Partner benefit, please send a letter of interest and a completed 2022 CREST application with your CRE intern job description to Jill Blanco ( no later than January 14th, 2022. Tell us why your CRE organization would like to participate in the program and how your intern might benefit by working there. We will announce the four selected firms in late January and engagement with CREST to choose an intern will begin immediately thereafter. The internships run between June 2022 and August 2022.  

Firms that are not Corporate Partners are also encouraged to apply and send their applications to CREST directly in order to recruit an intern for your organization.
Non-Corporate Partner firms will be responsible for the entire cost of the program. The total program cost is $5,000 per student, plus the salary for your selected intern. Last year, several of our chapter members also participated in the program as mentors to CREST Interns during the 10-week summer program. If you are interested in participating as a mentor to a CREST Intern in the summer of 2022, please reach out to Carine Tamasung, National Grid at She can tell you more about the expectations for participation and how matches will be made with selected students.

In the meantime, the EID committee is hosting a CRAVE Program with CREST at 12pm on Tuesday, December 7th, 2021. CREST will introduce you to their program, explain what is expected of its students and its employers, share some of the success stories and answer any questions that you might have regarding participation. We will also share more about the new mentorship program that we piloted last year with CREST and will continue in 2022.
