Marisa joined Humanscale in June 2003 and since then her roles have included business development for MA & RI, training as part of Humanscale University, and Marketing & Communications as part of the Humanscale International team based in London, UK. Currently, she is a Sales Director based in the Boston office, with teams covering Eastern MA, ME, VT, NH and RI, as well Canada. Prior to working at Humanscale, she worked at Knoll. Marisa holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Boston College and is originally from New Jersey. She lives just north of Boston with her husband Joe, son Ben, and daughters Annabel and Charlotte.
Marisa is a Board Member for the CoreNet Global New England Chapter. She currently serves as Board Liaison for the Communications committee, where she previously was Co-Chair for eight years. She is also a member of the Community Reinvestment committee, leveraging the influence of CoreNet to better serve the communities we live and work in. In 2015, Marisa was named one of the "36 Under 36" top Young Leaders from all of the 40 CoreNet global chapters from around the world. In 2019, she was honored to receive the "Leadership Award, Americas Service Provider" by the CoreNet New England Chapter.
Listening and learning are Marisa's top priorities because those are the skills required to solve - and prevent - most problems. She prides herself on being able to communicate an aggregate of perspectives, as well as the solutions she see as the best-fit based on more than 20 years in the Contract Furniture Industry, including 10 years in Corporate Learning & Development. Marisa is not afraid to take on challenges, learn new skills, or in general just put herself out there in order to grow and succeed, while consistently being a calm force that makes sure the job gets done.
